A New Application of the XC Respirometer!

We are excited to share our new application video using the XC Respirometer to explore daily plant respiration patterns.

In this quick experiment, we connected reactors containing different mixes of compost, fertilizer, and plants to continuously monitor CO₂ production. The data clearly showed day–night cycles: lower CO₂ during daytime photosynthesis and higher CO₂ at night as respiration took over. This simple setup highlights how continuous respirometry reveals interactions between plants, microbes, and environmental conditions.
